 Rules

  1. A team consists of 6 players. However, a team may begin with 4.
  2. A match will consist of the best of 2 out of 3 games. Games are played to 15 points, and the games must be won by 2 points.
  3. The winner of the coin toss will either elect to serve or choose with playing area they will receive from. If the team elects to serve the ball, the other team will choose which side of the court they will receive the ball.
  4. Team change playing areas at the end of each game. If a third game is needed to constitute a winner, teams will change sides after one team reaches 8 points.
  5. Change in positions can only be made after the ball is served. When the ball becomes dead, players must return to their original positions.
  6. A player may not make contact with any part of the net while the ball is alive. A player's foot may not cross the center line.
  7. The server may not cross the back line until the ball is served. A serve that touches the net is a lost serve.
  8. Any ball landing on the line is in.
  9. Should the ball strike the ceiling during play and lands on the same side, the ball is still in play (unless it was the third hit).
  10. One 30 second time out is allowed per game.
  11. Substitutions may only be made during a dead ball situation, and does not necessarily have to be made during player rotation.
