The player or players (in the case of doubles), who first scores 21 points wins the game. However, the margin of victory must be by at least two (2) points, meaning a game could last until 30 or 50 points before being decided. A match is usually the best two out of three games, and, in international championships, it is the best three out of five. In other words, if you lose the first game it is not the end of the world; winning the next games can still make you the winner.
