Valeria Kovaleva joins the Lady Knights Women's Volleyball Coaching Staff as an assistant for the 2008 season after wrapping up an outstanding playing career at St. John's University.
Valeria finished up a career that spanned 2006-2008 10th
all-time at St. John's in kills per game (2.51) and sixth in
assists (766) and service aces per game (0.43). Her single season
ranking include sixth with 364 digs and ninth with 762 assists. Her
honors include all-Big East, AVCA all-Northeast Region and AVCA
All-American for 2008.
