FLUSHING, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2018) - Senior outside hitter Leeks Hollis posted a ten-kill performance on offense for the Queens College volleyball team, but the Knights were swept in three sets by Chestnut Hill on Thursday (Oct. 11). Set scores from Fitzgerald Gymnasium favored the Griffins 25-11, 25-19 and 25-10.
Lauren Kehoe added four kills for the Knights while Vanessa Juengerkes dished out 14 assists and posted five digs. Gina Giacalone compiled four assists and a match-best 14 digs in the effort for Queens.
Lauren Lipinski had nine kills for Chestnut Hill and the visitors also sported seven-kill efforts from Reilly Byxbee, Ragen Baldwin and Cassie Callahan. Callahan also sported ten digs for the Griffins while Kennedy Sutton accumulated 26 assists. Chestnut Hill boomed home 12 service aces in the win with four apiece coming from Janie Green and Kerri Sullivan.
Queens will next be in action on Oct. 19 as the Knights welcome Bridgeport into Flushing for a 7 p.m. showcase.
