BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Sept. 22, 2018) - The Queens College volleyball team suffered a three-set setback on Saturday (Sept. 22), falling to Bridgeport in straight sets in an East Coast Conference game at Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium. The Knights fall to 1-11 on the season and 0-3 in ECC competition while Bridgeport improves to 9-4 overall and 3-0 in East Coast Conference action.
Lauren Kehoe led Queens with seven kills while Leeks Hollis had five kills for the Knights. Alisha Matthews posted nine assists with Vanessa Juengerkes adding five helpers; both players led QC with five digs on defense as well.
Bridgeport launched 18 service aces and posted a team hitting percentage of .467 in the win, with Morgan Knight connecting on a match-high eight kills on ten attacks for an individual hitting clip of .800.
Queens will next be in action in one week's time, as the Knights host Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday (Sept. 29) with first serve from Fitzgerald Gymnasium set for 12 p.m.
