Volleyball Coach Leanna Taylor Speaks to Queens High School of Teaching Students

BELLEROSE, N.Y. - Earlier this week, Queens College first-year head volleyball coach Leanna Taylor spent the afternoon talking to a group of 50 junior girls at Queens High School of Teaching. She had an up-close, open conversation regarding the importance in life of not being afraid to go after your dreams. Taylor also pointed to legendary UCLA basketball coach, John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success" as a teaching tool in regards to how to conduct yourself during athletic competition, in the classroom and in life.

"Being in a classroom is always a fun experience," said Taylor, a former high school teacher in her native Tampa, Fla. "You have to be ready for anything. The girls at Queens High School of Teaching had a lot of energy and were very engaged."
