The East Coast Conference announced on Monday that Suzanne Byrne of Queens College has been named Volleyball Rookie of the Week. The award is her first of the season.

The Richmond, British Columbia native averaged 2.83 kills while posting a .417 kill percentage for the Knights in two matches. Byrne had 10 kills and a .450 kill percentage in a 3-0 win over Nyack last Thursday and had seven kills, two blocks and a match high five aces in a loss at Dowling College last Tuesday.
