Janice Loo had 28 assists and seven digs in QC's four set loss to the University of Puerto Rico - Mayaguez on Friday night. UPR-Mayaguez had dispatched NYIT in three earlier in the evening in Flushing.

The Knights started the evening slowly, falling behind 9-2 on their way to a 25-18 loss in the first set. QC rebounded in the second game as they took an early 12-7 lead l after putting together six straight points, the last on a Latoya Edward kill. Queens College then managed to hold off Mayaguez and post a 25-23 victory.

UPR made quick work of it the rest of the way, limiting the Knights to 15 points in the third set and 13 in the fourth.
