The first place Golden Lions of Dowling College swept Queens College in three sets in ECC volleyball action on Thursday night in Fitzgerald Gymnasium. The game scores were 25-18, 25-28 and 25-12.

For the second straight game Latoya Edward turned in an outstanding performance for QC, this time leading both teams with 13 kills while only committing three hitting errors. Teammate Camila Dantas was a close second in kills with 12 and added seven digs and two assists while Suzanne Byrne handed out a game high 24 assists and libero Erin Eckes chipped in with nine digs.

Patrycja Klekotka led the Dowling offense with 10 kills and four service aces, helping her team improve to 13-4 overall and 4-0 in conference play. The loss dropped QC to 1-11 and 0-4.
