Women's XC ties for first at the ECC Championships
The Queens College Women's Cross Country team tied for first place on Sunday at the 2009 ECC Championships, held at C.W. Post College. Both the Knights and NYIT finished with 50 points. QC's Men's team finished fifth.

Men's Cross Country wins the CSI Invitational
The Queens College Men's Cross Country team finished first amoung a field of 17 at the College of Staten Island Invitational on Sunday. Max Gazzara was the Knights top performer, finishing fourth overall.

QC sweeps ECC Cross Country Runner of the Week awards
Queens College took both the men's and the women''s East Coast Conference Runner of the Week awards. Max Gazzara was the men's winner while Amber Sayer captured the women's award.

Track teams take first at the York Invitational
Both of the Queens College track teams finished first at the York Invitational, held on Sunday in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Amber Sayer won on the ladies side while Maxwell Gazzara led all finishers on the men's side.

Avila finishes third in the ECC Cross Country Preview
Indira Avila finished third in the C.W. Post Cross Country Invitational - ECC Preview on Saturday morning. Avila ran the course in 21:46.34 to help her team to a sixth place finish.

Cross Country teams compete at the Hofstra Invitational
The Queens College men's and women's cross country teams travelled to Bethpage State Park on Saturday to start their 2009 seasons in the Hofstra Invitational.

Colon places second at NJIT Invitational Track Meet
Katherine Colon placed second in the 800 meters in the NJIT Invitational Track Meet at Lincoln Park on Saturday afternoon. She finsihed in a time of 2;35.49 in a non-scoring meet.

Lady Knights finish 7th at the ECC Championships
Led by all-ECC second teamer Indira Avila, the Queens College finished seventh at the East Coast Conference Cross Country Championships. The race was run at Sunken Meadow Park on Long Island.

Four Lady Knights honored by the ECC
Four Lady Knights have been rewarded for their accomplishments over the past week by the East Coast Conference. Indira Avila was named Women's Cross Country Runner and Rookie of the Week, Laura Mocodeanu and Taylor Barber swept the Women's Tennis Awards, and Antonia Klein of Women's Volleyball was named Rookie of the Week on Monday.
