Women's Tennis Defeated by Fordham, 5-2, on Friday

BRONX, N.Y. (Apr. 13, 2018) - Emy Alplund and Louisa Brunetti won a 6-0 match at first doubles for Queens College on Friday (Apr. 13) but the Knights were defeated by Fordham in a 5-2 match in the Bronx.

The Knights won just one match at doubles and two in singles, as Ruth Artaza Martin and Line Sorsdahl Aasen claimed victories at No. 5 and No. 6 singles respectively. Artaza Martin won at fifth singles as Carolina Sa retired in the second set with the Rams up 6-3, 3-2; Sorsdahl Aasen gritted out a 7-5, 1-6, 10-8 three-set victory at the sixth flight over Whitney Weisberg as well.

Queens will conclude its spring campaign by hosting Salem International University on Wednesday (Apr. 18) at 10 a.m.
