Knights Shine At Rangers Invite

MADISON, N.J. - The Queens College women's swimming and diving team took second out of seven teams this past weekend at the Ranger Invitational.

Jennifer Arana-Perez took first in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.46.  She also placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:21.41.  Arana-Perez took second in the 200 fly with a time of 2:17.75, with Katie Waszkiewicz third in a time of 2:22.72.

Waszkiewicz took first in the 400 IM with a time of 5:02.16, ending out second by less than a second.  She was also second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:12.83.

In the 50 free, Elizabeth Hodges took fifth with a time of 26.33.  She also took first in the 100 free with a time of 55.68.

The 200 medley relay team of Iris Leung, Angelia Crisci, Jessica Morales and Nicole Weinsheimer placed fourth with a time of 2:12.24.  Later in the event, the 400 medley relay of Arana-Perez, Hodges, Waszkiewicz and Weinsheimer placed second with a time of 4:22.82.

The 200 free relay quartet of Weinsheimer, Chelsy Espinosa, Amanda Giordano and Hodges took second with a time of 1:47.56.  The team of Giordano, Arana-Perez, Waszkiewicz and Hodges placed second with a time of 8:29.95.

Giordano was fourth in the 1650 free with a time of 21:42.45.  In 1-meter diving, Kailey White took second with 177.30 points.
