Women's Swimming & Diving Has Successful Day At USMMA Invite

KINGS POINT, NY - The Queens College women's swimming and diving team competed Saturday at the USMMA Invitational.

Sophomore Jennifer Arana-Perez posted a win in the 100 fly, taking first with a time of 1:02.23.  Katie Waszkiewicz took third in the event with a time of 1:04.13.  In the 200 fly, Arana-Perez took second in a time of 2:22.21, with Waszkiewicz third in 2:28.00.

Lizzie Hodges placed first in the 100 free with a time of 56.84.  In the 50 free, Hodges placed second with a time of 25.82.  In the 200 backstroke, Sabrina Poon took second with a time of 2:42.86 while Iris Leung took third with a time of 2:45.57.

In one-meter diving, Kailey White placed second with 206.90 points, with Kerry Ghanie taking fourth (160.20 points).

The Knights next welcome Hunter College for a home meet on Monday evening.
