The Lady Knights began their 2008-2009 schedule with a meet against the University of Bridgeport on Halloween in Connecticut. Bridgeport came away the victor, 123.5 to 93.5.

Monalisa Ribeiro picked up right where she left off last season by winning the 100 meter breastroke. She touched first in a time of 1:21.53 to best the field. The Lady Knights' 200 freestyle medley team also came away winners. Erica Rodriguez, Anyela Duarte, Samantha Oyola and Jennifer Duarte won the race in 2:16.56.
