Wilson leads list of Lady Knights All-Conference Honorees
Diver Derina Wilson earned All-Conference honors at the 2009 Metropolitan Swimmig Championship, held at Rutgers University from February 21st through the 23rd. Wilson placed fifth in her event while QC finished ninth overall in a field of 20 teams.

Varpakhovich wins three races in four point loss to William Paterson
Senior Val Varpakhovich won the 500 free, the 200 IM and was a member of the winning 400 relay team in a 120-116 loss to William Paterson on Senior Night in Flushing, New York.

Women's Swimmers win two at Baruch
The Lady Knights swimmers beat Baruch College and Pace University in a dual meet hosted by Baruch College on Thursday evening. QC defeated Baruch 75-38 and bested Pace 53-40.

Parra and Varpakhovich win twice in Women's Swimming victory at Maritime
Angela Parra and Val Varpakhovich each won two races to help the Lady Knights to a 122-75 victory at SUNY Maritime College on Thursday. QC improves to 3-2 with the win.

Varpakhovich and Ribeiro lead Swimmers to a 196-119 win over Hunter
Val Varpakhovich and Mona Lisa Ribeiro each won three individual races to lead the Lady Knights to a 196-119 win over Hunter College on Monday evening in Fitzgerald Gymnasium.

Lady Knights outswim Adelphi, 127-104
Monalisa Ribeiro won three races to lead Queens College to a 127-104 win over Adelphi University on Thursday night in Flushing. Val Varpakhovich and Angela Parra also were individual winners while Derina Wilson came out best in the 1 meter diving competition with 154.50 points.

Local groups participate in Millie Johnson Memorial Swim Meet
On Saturday, November 8, 2008 the Women’s Swim Team opened up its pool to local youth groups for a memorial swim meet. The Flushing YMCA, Twelve Towns YMCA, West Side YMCA, McBurney YMCA and Q.C. Competitive Swim Teams all came together to compete in a swim meet as they swam in memory of Millie Johnson, who was a member of the Queens College Varsity Team.

Women's Swimmers start season in Bridgeport
The Lady Knights began their 2008-2009 schedule with a meet against the University of Bridgeport on Halloween in Connecticut. Bridgeport came away the victor, 123.5 to 93.5.

Diver Derina Wilson one of eight Lady Knights to earn all-conference honors
Junior diver Derina Wilson led a list of eight Lady Knights that earned all-conference honors at the 2008 Metropolitan Swimming Championships, held this past weekend at Rutgers University. As a team, Queens College finished 12th out of 19.
