"I am extremely excited for our upcoming season," Pacapelli stated. "We have 13 returners and 17 new faces to welcome to campus in just a few short days. With so many new players, we will be in a highly competitive and exciting environment. Among our returning players are nine very driven seniors who are ready to make their mark on their final season here at Queens."

The Knights will begin the season with four straight road matches, opening the 2017 campaign at Holy Family on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 4 p.m. Queens will remain in Philadelphia, Pa., for a matchup with Jefferson (formerly known as Philadelphia University) on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. The Knights will conclude their road stretch with visits to New Haven (Sept. 4) and Chestnut Hill (Sept. 7).

Three consecutive road contests will follow for the Knights, including two ECC matches against St. Thomas Aquinas (Sept. 26) and Mercy (Sept. 30), while kicking off the month of October with a non-conference meeting with Post (Oct. 4).

Queens will then play four consecutive conference matches, beginning with a home matchup against LIU Post on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 3:30 p.m. for Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day. On Oct. 14, the Knights will visit Roberts Wesleyan before hosting Daemen on Wednesday, Oct. 18, for their Pink Game. Queens will conclude ECC play at NYIT on Oct. 21 and then will travel to Dominican (N.Y.) on Oct. 24. The Knights will wrap up the regular season at home with Senior Day against Goldey-Beacom on Friday, Oct. 27.

The ECC Championship will begin with semifinal contests on Nov. 1, culminating with the finals on Nov. 4.

"I am looking forward to experiencing the growth of our program this year and seeing our new players adapt into our 'We Don't Stop' mentality that the girls have created over the past year," Pacapelli explained. "I think we have a lot of excitement to look forward to."
