ECC Soccer awards go to Peveraro and Breakey

Jenna Peveraro and Allison Breakey were selected as this week's East Coast Conference Women's Soccer top defensive player and top rookie. Each were instrumental in leading QC to a 3-0 week and, in the process, the program's first conference playoff berth.
Peveraro was one of the main cogs in a Knights' defensive machine that posted shtout victories over Nyack College and Georgian Court and held opponents scoreless for 300:18. The senior from New Hyde Park also chipped on the offensive end with an assist against Nyack and a goal - her first of 2009 - at Georgian Court.
Breakey backstopped QC's three wins this past week - including her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season - while posting a 0.68 goals against average and a .714 save percentage. Allison's 300:05 streak without being scored upon came to an end on Saturday when NYIT connected on a penalty shot in the 22nd minute of the Knights' 5-2 win.
