Bolton nets a pair in QC's 4-1 win over Bloomfield

Kirri Bolton scored the first of her two second half goals in the 50th minute to break a 1-1 deadlock and propel the Lady Knights to a 4-1 non-conference victory over Bloomfiled College on Wednesday in Flushing, New York.
QC dominated play but Bloomfield was the beneficiary of a bad bounce, taking a 1-0 lead at 10:36 when Erika Len directed a ball into the box that deflected off a Lady Knights defender, caromed over netminder Allison Breakey, and found the back of the cage for an own goal. Andrea Slavin evened the score for Queens College 18 minutes later when she converted on a penalty kick for her fifth goal of the season. Slavin now has a goal in each of QC's five games.
The Lady Knights took the lead for good when Bolton scored her first collegiate goal at 49:52. In the 79th minute QC put the game away with two markers 2:18 apart from Brittany Silipo and Bolton.
