QC's Late rally falls short in 2-1 loss at Bentley

The Lady Knights rallied late but came up a goal short in a 2-1 loss at Bentley University on Wednesday afternoon. Andrea Slavin connected for her third goal of the year in the loss.
Bentley jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 14:23 mark when Laura Garlo chipped the rebound of a shot from Cheryl Boyd over the head of Lady Knights' goalkeeper Allison Breakey. The home team increased their lead to 2-0 won an unassisted goal by Amy Wagner, who picked up a loose ball in fromt off a scramble.
Slavin drew QC within one when her shot from 10 yards found the top lefthand corner of net to make it a 2-1 match with just over 17 minutes remaining. Unfortunatley for the Lady Knights they could not get the equalizer despite out-shooting Bentley 10-5 for the half and 17-9 for the game.
