Silipo wins it with golden goal

Brittany Silipo scored 6:49 into the first overtime to give Queens College a dramatic 3-2 win over Molloy College in ECC women's soccer action in Flushing. The game featured two penalty kick goals in the second half, the last coming off of the foot of Molloy's Alyssa Faller in the 89th minute to force overtime.
The Knights took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute on Katherine Colon's first goal of the season. Andrea Slavin found Colon with a pass to the right wing on the play to pick up an assist. Slavin would get on the board herself at 55:09 when she connected on a penalty kick that QC was awarded for a hand ball in the box.
Paula Sanelli gave Molloy life at 67:38, scoring off a scramble in the box when Kate-Lynn Muir's free kick caromed off of several bodies and onto Sanelli's foot with nothing but an empty net in front of her. Molloy then got the game tying goal after the Knights were called for a foul in the box and Alyssa Faller made good on the resulting penalty shot.
All of this set things up for Silipo to play the hero. Sarah Boucher made a nice play to get her the ball at the top right of the box and Silipo made no mistakes, scoring her seventh of the season to give QC the 3-2 victory.
