The Lady Knights were blanked by Adelphi University, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon in Flushing, New York. The loss drops QC to 8-4 overall and 1-3 in ECC play, delivering a serious blow to their playoff hopes. Only the top four finishers qualify the conference playoffs.

Brianne McDonnell scored off of a pass from Amanda Herrera at the 26:56 mark to put Adelphi ahead, 1-0. Things would have been worse for the Lady Knights if not for goalkeeper Crystal Butler, who made seven saves in the first half to keep it a one goal game.

AU added to their lead in the 64th minute when McDonnell's corner kick was headed in by Lauren Slattery to make the score 2-0. Amanda Rodriguez tallied twice in the last nine minutes off of Emily Dunne assists to round out the scoring for the day.
