Andrea Slavin scored her team leading eighth goal of the season but it would be the only goal of the day for QC as they lost at Dowling, 2-1, in East Coast Conference action. The loss snapped the Lady Knights' seven game win streak. Their last loss came on August 31st at Southern Connecticut.

After a scoreless first half Vanessa Moreira got Dowling on the board with her 12th of the season at 50:47. DC added to their lead less than four minutes later on a goal by Christine Intartaglia. QC made Dowling sweat it out when Slavin connected to pull her team within a goal at the 85:26 mark but that was as close as they would get in a 2-1 loss.

Goalkeeper Valentina Dugue made four saves as Queens College drops to 7-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.
