Defense is the key to 1-0 win over Georgian Court

The Lady Knights defense held Georgian Court University to five shots in recording a 1-0 non-conference win on Saturday in Flushing. Crystal Butler made two saves in posting her second shutout of the season while Andrea Slavin scored the lone goal of the game for QC in the first half.
In the 28th minute, Slavin took a pass from Giselle Cabarcas at the top of the box and lofted a shot over GCU goalkeeper Shealyn Sullivan and into the top left hand corner of the net for the only goal the Lady Knights would need. The goal was the fifth of the season for Slavin, all of which have come in her last three contests.
Queens College improves to 4-1 with the win, their fourth in a row. Next up for QC is Bentley College in Flushing on Monday afternoon. Game time is scheduled for 4:30 pm
