Sophomore forward Andrea Slavin was named to the 2008 NSCAA/Adidas NCAA Division II Women All-East Region third team. This follows her selection as a third team all-East Coast Conference all-star.

Four Soccer Players named ECC all-stars
Two Knights and two Lady Knights were named all-East Coast Conference for the 2008 season. Noorullah Mashriqi and Terrence Ahoua were tabbed on the men's side while Andrea Slavin and Jenna Peveraro were picked for the women's team.

Freshman midfielder Katherine Colon was named East Coast Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week for her contributions on the field in a 1-1 week for the Lady Knights.

Double overtime golden goal against ends Lady Knights' regular season
Molloy College defeated the Lady Knights, 1-0, on a golden goal in the second overtime of an East Coast Conference game played in Rockville Centre on Saturday afternoon. QC wraps up their regular season schedule with a 12-6 record overall and a 4-5 record versus ECC foes.

Colon nets three in 7-0 Senior Day Win
Katherine Colon scored three goals to lead the Lady Knights to a 7-0 victory over Concordia College on Senior Day. Making their final appearances on the field for QC in Flushing were Jennifer Robbins, Valentina Duque and Alicia Ezat.

Second half rally lifts Lady Knights past NYIT, 2-1
The Lady Knights rallied for two second half goals to beat NYIT, 2-1, in Old Westbury, New York on Monday. Melissa Cuartas and Andrea Slavin scored for QC, who improved to 11-5 overall and 3-4 against ECC competition.

All the scoring in the first seven minutes as Lady Knights win at Bloomfield, 2-1
All three of the game's goals were scored in the first seven minutes of the Lady Knights' 2-1 victory at Bloomfield College on Saturday. The win was the tenth of the season for Queens College against just five losses.

The Lady Knights were edged by C.W. Post, 3-2, in East Coast Conference action on Wednesday in Flushing. Post began the week as the top ranked team in the East Region.

Zornberg scores twice in 3-0 win at STAC
Dena Zornberg scored her first two goals of the season in a 3-0 Lady Knights win at St. Thomas Aquinas College on Saturday afternoon. Melissa Cuartas added a goal and an assist in the win, QC's ninth in 13 games.

Lady Knights blanked by Adelphi, 4-0
The Lady Knights were blanked by Adelphi University, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon in Flushing, New York. The loss drops QC to 8-4 overall and 1-3 in ECC play, delivering a serious blow to their playoff hopes. Only the top four finishers qualify the conference playoffs.

The Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport defeated the Queens College Lady Knights, 2-1, in an ECC contest played on a clear and mild Saturday afternoon in Flushing, New York. All three goals were scored in the second half.

Cascio scores twice in whitewashing of Mercy College
Christina Cascio scored the first two goals, her second and third of the season, in the Lady Knights' 4-0 win over Mercy College on Wednesday afternoon in Flushing. Christina Salameh and Andrea Slavin also scored for QC as evened their ECC record at 1-1.

Slavin scores but QC's win streak is snapped at seven by Dowling
Andrea Slavin scored her team leading eighth goal of the season but it would be the only goal of the day for QC as they lost at Dowling, 2-1, in East Coast Conference action. The loss snapped the Lady Knights' seven game win streak. Their last loss came on August 31st at Southern Connecticut.

Freshman Goalkeeper Crystal Butler was the East Coast Conference's choice for Rookie of the Week after leading Queens College to three more victories this past week. Butler also won the award last week.

The Lady Knights ran their winning streak to six by shutting out Nyack College, 1-0, in Nyack, New York on Wednesday afternoon. QC made Andrea Slavin's seventh goal of the season hold up in recording another non-conference victory.

Andrea Slavin scored the golden goal to give Queens College a 3-2 come from behind victory over Bentley College on Monday in Flushing, New York. Earlier in the day Lady Knights' goalkeeper Crystal Butler was named East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week.

The Lady Knights defense held Georgian Court University to five shots in recording a 1-0 non-conference win on Saturday in Flushing. Crystal Butler made two saves in posting her second shutout of the season while Andrea Slavin scored the lone goal of the game for QC in the first half.

Andrea Slavin scored two goals to lead the lady Knights to a 3-1 win over Caldwell College on Wednesday afternoon at Queens College. This marked the second consecutive two goal game for the sophomore forward from Floral Park.

The Lady Knights exploded for three first-half goals en route to a 4-0 victory over Felician College in Rutherford, New Jersey. Andrea Slavin scored twice while Chenelle Geoffroy and Melissa Cuartas added a goal apiece for QC.

Melissa Cuartas scored twice and Laura D'Amore added a goal as Queens College defeated Holy Family, 3-2, in Flushing, New York on Sunday. The Lady Knights improve to 1-1 with the win while Holy Family sees its record drop to 1-3.

Lady Knights bested by Southern Connecticut in their 2008 Soccer Opener
The Lady Knights were bested by the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University, 3-0, in New Haven, CT on the last day of August. Not only was the match the first of the season for QC, but it was also the first as head coach for Carl Christian.

Redman and Honeyman Named Silver Knights
The 2007-2008 season culminated with the annual Queens College Athletics Department Awards Dinner at Ricardo's by the Bridge in Astoria on Thursday, May 15, 2008. Brian Honeyman of Baseball and Diana Redman of Soccer were the big winners while Women's Soccer Coach Roby Young was feted for his outstanding service to Queens College Athletics.
