WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (May 3, 2018) - Junior midfielder Patriece Ausili of the Queens College women's lacrosse team was named to the All-East Coast Conference Second Team on Thursday (May 3) by the conference office.
Ausili's selection marks the first time a QC women's lacrosse player has made the All-ECC award teams since 2015 when Taylor Martello earned All-ECC Second-Team laurels.
The junior midfielder posted team highs this season in goals (33), points (38) and draw controls (66) while sporting a lethal shots-on-goal percentage of 91%. Ausili completed five games with a hat trick or better in 2018, opening up spring play with a four-goal performance in a 20-3 win over Felician back on Mar. 1. She ended the season with a streak of one goal or better scored in seven consecutive contests, including hat tricks in conference play versus Bridgeport and District of Columbia.
Ausili scored a season-high five goals and six points in the Knights' 18-9 win over Wilmington (Del.) back on Mar. 17, one week after tying the program record for most draws one in a single game (11) up at Post University in Connecticut. The native of Ridge, N.Y. also netted her 100th career goal this season in the Knights' contest with Roberts Wesleyan back on Apr. 15.
