Lauren Hilke, Mary Pat Gibble, Patriece Ausili and Lauren Gentile each added three goals in the win with Gibble posting three assists and Hilke adding two helpers as well. Nicole Moniello had a goal and four assists while Margaret Iavarone added two goals in the win. Rebecca Gibble led the team with four ground balls and three draw controls and Jessica Serpe made four saves in net for the Knights to earn her fifth win of the season.
Queens led UDC 13-2 at the half, notching seven of the first eight goals against the Firebirds including the first of three woman-down goals in the frame as Hilke beat UDC keeper Jada Foy. Koehler collected a first-half hat trick just eighteen minutes into the opening period of play while all other players completed their hat tricks in a 7-1 second half.
The Knights will look to continue their momentum on Sunday (Apr. 15) as Queens hosts Roberts Wesleyan at 2:30 p.m. at QC Lacrosse Field in a pivotal East Coast Conference showdown.
