QC Women's Basketball Helps Out with Free Throw Shooting Contest

FLUSHING, N.Y. (Jan. 14, 2018) - One day after a game-winning three-pointer sent them to an amazing victory, the Queens College women's basketball team volunteered its time to help youth basketball players in a free throw shooting contest.

The Knights visited St. Sebastian Parish Center in Woodside on Sunday (Jan. 14) for the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The event went most of the morning with contests held for both boys and girls at the parish center.

"We welcome opportunities like these," said Head Women's Basketball Coach Elizabeth Naumovski, "that allow us to connect with our community.  Any chance we get to share our love of the game with a younger generation, we are all in!"
