WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Nov. 27, 2017) - Senior guard Merrick Rowland of the Queens College women's basketball team was named East Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday (Nov. 27).
The honor from the conference offices comes after a one-game week that saw Rowland completely dominate the hardwood, leading the Knights to a 74-66 victory over Bloomfield College on Wednesday (Nov. 22).
Rowland posted a career-high 32 points in the win over the Bears, QC's second straight win at the newly-christened Lucille Kyvallos Court at Fitzgerald Gymnasium. The senior guard was an all-around force, also pulling down five rebounds and swiping seven steals.
