Jennifer DiChiara named ECC Player of the Year

Jennifer DiChiara has been selected as the 2008-09 East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year in a poll of the league's head coaches. She is the first Lady Knight to receive such an honor in the program's 22 year history in Division II. Teammate Amanda Bartlett was also named first team all-ECC for the second consecutive season.

Her most dominating performance of the season came at Concordia College on January 14th when she scored 31 points, pulled down 23 rebounds and blocked seven shots in a 87-67 victory.

She is also eighth in the league in assists. In all, Amanda scored 20 or more points in a game 10 times in 27 games with a high of 29 at Mercy College on February 11th.
