20's are wild in Lady Knights 80-46 win over NYIT

Lady Knights' number 20 Amanda Bartlett scored 20 points to lead the Lady Knights to their 20th victory of the season, a 80-46 decision over NYIT on Senior Night in Flushing. The win, combined with a loss this afternoon by Molloy, gives QC sole possession of the top spot in the ECC standings.

Jennifer DiChiara had 17 points, 12 boards and four blocks while Bethanie Mandresh added season highs of 14 points and seven rebounds in the final regular season home game of their collegiate careers.

QC ran off 13 straight points to erase an early 5-2 deficit and take the lead for good just 6:10 into the contest. DiChiara, Bartlett and Mandresh combined for 30 points to enable the Lady Knights to double up on NYIT, 36-18, after 20 minutes.

The victory marks the first time that QC has won 20 or more games in a season since the program moved to the Division II level in the late 1980's. More importantly, the Lady Knights take sole possession of first place in the ECC with two games to go with a conference record of 14-2. Molloy is now 13-3 while Dowling is right behind them at 12-4.
