Balanced attack carries Lady Knights past AU, 72-58

The Lady Knights used a balanced attack to get past Adelphi University, 72-58, in Flushing on Wednesday evening. Amanda Bartlett led the way with 23 points while all seven of her teammates that got into the game scored at least four points.

Jennifer Robbins nailed a jumper to cap an 18-3 QC run that put them ahead 20-10 with 9:10 remaining in the opening half. The Lady Knights took a 39-27 lead into the break on the strength of 10 points from Bartlett, eight points and seven boards from Robbins, and five apiece from Christine Harnischfeger and Jennifer Di.Chiara.

QC continued to press the issue and took a 52-30 lead - their biggest of the game - on a Brittany Faherty bucket 9:19 into the second half.

With the win the Lady Knights' avenged an 80-71 loss that they suffered at the hands of Adelphi back on November 22nd.
