The Knights dropped game one 5-1 before losing game two 6-1 thus ending their postseason hopes to defend their 2015 ECC crown.

    In sunny Tuesday afternoon conditions, the Queens College softball team (12-22, 9-15 ECC) split an East Coast Conference doubleheader with the Dowling College Golden Lions (12-28, 6-18 ECC) at Golden Lions Field. QC lost game one 3-0 before bouncing back to take game two 10-4 to conclude their road slate for the 2016 season. The Knights drew their season series 2-2 against the Golden Lions.

The Knights lost the season series 3-1, but handed the Pioneers their only conference loss thus far.

On the shoulders of two home runs, the Golden Lions took game one 2-1 before a four run rally in the bottom of the seventh pushed the Knights to an 8-7 game two win.

    In sunny conditions, The Queens College softball team won the season series 3-1 against the Mercy College Mavericks in East Coast Conference action at Smith Field. The Knights won game one 8-4 before winning a close game two 4-2. With the wins, The Knights stayed in contention for a playoff spot as the wins improved the Knights to 9-16, 6-10 ECC, while the Mavericks moved to 15-19, 6-10 ECC.

The Knights lost a close one in game one 4-3 before falling 12-2 in game two. The Knights moved to 7-13, 4-7 ECC, while the Spartans improved to 10-17, 5-9 in ECC play.

The Knights took game one 3-2, handing the Pioneers their first loss in conference play. QC was shut out in game two 2-0. Queens now sit at 6-8 on the year, and 4-3 in conference play, while Post improved to 16-6 overall and 9-1 in ECC action.

The Knights scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to capture a 2-1 win in the opener, before a six run inning in game two catapulted QC to a 9-2 win.

    The Queens College softball team continued early season action Saturday at Citrus Classic at Disney's Wide World of Sports. In game one of the day, the Knights fell to Illinois Springfield 3-0. Game two saw QC fall to North Georgia, number one in the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll and the reigning NCAA champions.
