The Lady Knights lost this morning to host school Georgian Court, 9-3, in day two of GCU's 2nd annual "Going to Bat for Breast Cancer" Softball Tournament. The University of Bridgeport then handed QC a 6-1 loss in an afternoon affair.
Georgian Court took early control of the first game of the day by scoring eight runs over the first four innings. QC mounted a rally in the bottom of the fourth when Danielle DiGioia doubled home Katie Miracco and Adriana Faria drove DiGioia in with a two out single. Miracco finished with three hits in three at bats for the Lady Knights.
The second game of the day started no better for QC then the first. Bridgeport scored two in the first, one in the third and two in the fourth on their way to sending Queens College to a 6-1 defeat. Christina Colon was three for four for the Lady Knights and accounted for their only run when she homered in the fifth.
