Walk off homer from Colons gives QC a split with C.W. Post

The fourth ranked team in the East, Queens College, split a pair with the second ranked team, C.W. Post, on Monday afternoon in Flushing. Christina Colon's walk off home run gave QC a 4-3 win in game one while Post took game two 11-2.

With Post ahead 3-2, Katie Miracco connected for her third homer of the year to tie the game at three. Colon then won the game with a walk off home run, her first round tripper of 2009. Bryttne Nelson was the winner for the Lady Knights in relief.

Post turned the tables in the nightcap, beating QC 11-2. Danielle DiGioia provided all of the Lady Knights' offense with a two RBI double. The split of the twin bill leaves Queens College with an overall record of 12-6 and a conference record of 3-3.
