Ocasio helps QC to comeback win over 12th ranked Georgian Court

Destiny Ocasio drove in two and scored another in the Lady Knights' come from behind 7-5 win in the nightcap of a doubleheader at 12th ranked Georgian Court University on Saturday. GCU won the first game, 8-0, in five innings.

QC trailed 5-2 after four innings before mounting two rallies to win the second game of the afternoon. Samantha Stallone walked with one out in the fifth, went to second on an error, advanced to third on a passed ball beofre scoring on another GCU error to pull the Lady Knights within two runs. Ocasio then drew a two out, bases loaded walk that forced home Christina Colon to make the score Georgian Court 5, Queens College 4.

With one out in the seventh, Katie Miracco drove in pinch runner Christy Sanders with a double to tie the game at 5. Ocasio, the next batter, followed with a single that plated Miracco with the go ahead run and Megan White gave QC some breathing room with a two out RBI single that scored Ocasio to make this a 7-5 game.

Georgian Court took the first game of the afternoon 8-0. Christina Colon had the Lady Knights lone hit with two outs in the third inning.
