Miracco's offense helps Lady Knights gain a split with 11th ranked C.W. Post

Katie Miracco drove in one run and scored the other in the Lady Knights' 2-1, game two win at C.W. Post College on Wednesday afternoon. The 11th ranked Lady Pioneers beat QC, 9-1, in five innings in the opener of the double dip.

Miracco's two out single, one of four hits for her in the game, drove home Sara Koumou in the top of the first inning for the first run of the nightcap. In the bottom of the inning, C.W. Post pushed across an unearned run against starter and winner Jessica Hicks to knot the game at one. The score remained that way until the sixth when Miracco doubled and scored the go-ahead run on a two out single through the right side by Samantha Stallone. Hicks made that run hold up by throwing two scoreless innings to post a six hit, complete game victory.

Danielle DiGioia doubled and was driven home by Koumou with QC's only run in a 9-1 loss in game one.
