FLUSHING, N.Y. (Feb. 9, 2018) – The Queens College men's tennis team defended home court with a strong 6-3 victory on Friday (Feb. 9) over Southern New Hampshire University at the QC Tennis Center.

The Knights (2-0) started off with two victories in doubles competitions over the Penmen (3-1). Richard Sec and Jose Zurro scored a dominant 8-1 win against SNHU's No. 3 doubles tandem of Jeremy Reichentahl and Ricardo Marreiros to put QC on the board first. At No. 1 doubles, Gabriel Mendez and Roman Laga took an 8-5 victory over Miguel Marreiros and Tiago Fernandes before SNHU claimed a win at second-doubles to save a point in doubles competition.

Queens won four of six singles flights to notch the overall victory. Sec and Zurro were each successful in picking up wins while Laga's 6-2, 6-0 straight-set win in third singles clinched the match for the Knights.
