Smith wins Sixth Singles at Scott Satran Tournament

Freshman Jessie Smith captured the sixth singles title at the Scott Satran Tournament, played over two days on the indoor courts at Queens College. Three other Knights advanced to the finals in singles competition before losing.

Smith defeated Chris Das of Holy Cross, 6-1, 6-0, and Vito Galatioto of Concordia, 6-2, 6-4 to reach the finals. He then defeated teammate Temur Nanikashvili 6-3, 6-1 to earn the title.

Aside from Nanikashvili, Fabio Minami, Taylor Crabill and danilo Hiraoka also made it to the final round of the first, third and fourth flights.
