Jesse Smith was rewarded for his efforts over the past seven days with the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week Award. This marks the third time this season that he has been honored.

Smith won a pair of three set tie-breakers at the fourth singles spot in matches played in Florida last week. His first win came against Eckerd's Alex McDonald on the 11th and the second over Gustavo Carvalho of 14th ranked Rollins College two days later. He also teammed with David Burstein to post an 8-6 victory at second doubles versus Eckerd.
