Freshman Jesse Smith won his second consecutive ECC Rookie of the Week award but 37th ranked Flagler sent the Knights to a 7-2 loss today in Florida. This follows a 6-3 loss to 14th ranked Rollins yesterday. QC has now lost two straight to nationally ranked teams after opening their Florida trip with wins over Bentley and St. Cloud State on Sunday.

Smith was perfect in both second doubles and fourth singles play this week (3-0). On Friday, he posted 6-0, 6-1 and 8-2 wins against Rider. He won 6-4, 6-2 and 8-2 against Bentley and bounced back from a 0-6 first set loss to defeat his opponent 6-3, 6-2 and 8-0 vs. St. Cloud State, both on Sunday in Orlando.
