Knights fall to #1 Armstrong in NCAA Round of 16
The Knights were beaten 5-0 by the number one team in Division II Men's Tennis, Armstrong Atlantic State University, in the 2009 NCAA Championship Round of 16, played in Altamonte Springs, Florida on Wednesday. Queens College had advanced to the championships for the first time in the program's history by winning the East Reguon #2 title last week.

Schwartz and Co. rally to win first NCAA Regional Championship
Down 2-1 after doubles competition, Queens College (16-6) rallied to defeat Stonehill College (22-4), 5-2, to capture the NCAA Division II Mens Tennis East Region #2 Championship. Danilo Hiraoka beat Jon Burke of Stonehill, 6-2, 6-1 in sixth singles to clinch the Knights first regional championship in mens tennis.

Polus and Preston clinch 5-0 win over Bentley in NCAA Regionals
Patryk Polus and James Preston each posted 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles to sew up a 5-0 win for Queens College over Bentley University. The second seeded Knights began the day by taking all three doubles matches from the seventh seeded Falcons in a contest played in Flushing, New York.

Men to host NCAA Tennis Regional; Women head to Stonehill
Queens College will play host to an eight team NCAA Division II Men's Tennis East Regional, running from May 7th through May 9th. The Lady Knights also received a bid and will heading off to Stonehill College.

Concordia bests Knights for ECC Tennis Crown
Top seeded Concordia College beat second seeded Queens College, 5-2, to take the 2009 East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Championship. Jesse Smith defeated Karim Belhadj of Concordia, 6-3, 6-1, for one of QC's two points.

Knights advance to Men's Tennis finals; five players named all-ECC
Queens College won all three doubles matches and fifth and sixth singles to defeat Adelphi University, 5-0, and advance to the East Coast Conference Championships. Earlier in the day it was announced that five Knights were named All-ECC - two first teamers and three second teamers.

Three for three at Bloomsburg Duals for Men's Tennis
The Knights wrapped up their regular season slate by posting three wins this weekend at the Bloomsburg Duals. QC beat Kutztown on Friday and East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg on Saturday.

Smith named Rookie of the Week; Knights fall to 2-2 in Florida
Freshman Jesse Smith won his second consecutive ECC Rookie of the Week award but 37th ranked Flagler sent the Knights to a 7-2 loss today in Florida. This follows a 6-3 loss to 14th ranked Rollins yesterday. QC has now lost two straight to nationally ranked teams after opening their Florida trip with wins over Bentley and St. Cloud State on Sunday.

The Knights' Tennis team made it two wins in two matches today, beating Bentley University and St. Cloud State University in Orlando Florida. QC first defeated Bentley 9-0 then dispatched St. Cloud State 8-1.

Burstein nets ECC Flight Championship
David Burstein was the victor in second singles in the East Coast Conference Flight Championships on Sunday in the Queens College Indoor Tennis Center. Danilo Hiraoka also teammed with Taylor Crabill to claim the third doubles title by default.

The Queens College Men's Tennis Team has been ranked second in the East Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in a poll released on October 31st. The Knights were also ranked 41st in the nation in Division II.

Smith nets ITA "B" Singles Title
Queens College's Jessie Smith won the "B" singles title at the 2008 Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships, hosted by Bloomsburg University. He also combined with Taylor Crabill to make it to the semifinals of the "B" Doubles.

Crabill's tiebreaker win clinches NCAA East Regional win over Stonehill
Taylor Crabill defeated Michael Mashkevich 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5) to clinch the Knights 5-3 victory over host institution Stonehill College in the NCAA Division II East Regionals on Thursday. QC advances to face Concordia College at 11:00 am on Friday in the finals.

Minami wins 2008 ECC Rookie of the Year Award
Knights standout Fabio Minami has been named the 2008 recipient of the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Year Award by the conference's head coaches. Along with his Rookie of the Year Award, Fabio was named first team all-ECC while his doubles partner, David Burstein, was elected to the second team.

Queens College advanced to the East Coast Conference Team Championship match by edging Mercy College, 5-4, in Flushing on Tuesday afternoon. Next up for the Knights are the Clippers from Concordia College, who defeated Adelphi University, 5-1, earlier in the day.
