FLUSHING, N.Y. (Nov. 6, 2018) - Junior goalie Michael Bolvin of the Queens College men's soccer team was named East Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in a release from the conference office on Monday (Nov. 5). Additionally, the Knights' keeper was also named to the All-ECC First Team for his stellar play in net for the Knights over the course of the season.
Bolvin's play in goal brought Queens College to its first ECC postseason berth and its first double-digit win season since 2015. The junior keeper led the conference with a 0.82 goals-against average while yielding a league-low ten goals and posting an 8-2-2 overall record. In just over 1,100 minutes played, Bolvin posted the second-best save percentage (.804) and made 41 saves while securing five shutouts for the Knights. The junior was also 6-0-2 for the Knights in net during the month of October, winning four shutouts and pitching six total clean sheets over the eight contests while making 25 saves in net.
