AMHERST, N.Y. (Oct. 13, 2018) - The Queens College men's soccer team turned on the jets in the second half and Paul Ogoo's 75th-minute goal sent the Knights to a 1-0 win over Daemen on Saturday (Oct. 13) in Amherst, N.Y.
Queens (7-4-1, 4-2 ECC) was outshot in the first half against Daemen (4-9, 2-4 ECC) by an 8-7 margin before returning the favor and then some in the second half. The Knights took 15 shots in the second half to the Wildcats' one, with Ogoo getting his game-winner off a feed from Pedro Lamarre past Daemen goalie Philipp Schmidt.
Ogoo took a team-high six shots on cage with Romario Hulea adding five shots and Kevin Quituizaca posting three shots on target. Michael Bolvin was tested just once by the Wildcats and made the save to earn the shutout.
Queens will host NYIT on Wednesday (Oct. 17) at 3 p.m. The game will mark Senior Day for the men's soccer team, with eight seniors being honored in a pregame ceremony.
