Dowling's Traore scores four goals to eliminate QC, 5-1

Lamine Traore of Dowling scored four times to break a 1-1 tie and hand the Knights a 5-1 loss in the semifinals of the 2009 East Coast Conference Men's Soccer Championships.
The first shot of the match was also the first goal of the match as Michael Nicolini notched his fifth of the season to give Dowling a 1-0 lead 9:35 in. QC would respond by recording the next eight shots - three by Frank Alesci - but were unable to knot the score before the break.
It didn't take long for QC to strike in the second half. Just 29 seconds in Akinyode Dele scored into the bottom left corner of the cage for his fourth of the year to draw the Knights even at one apiece. Traore then took over, scoring twice in a span of 3:51, starting in the 53rd minute, to put Dowling ahead for good . Traore was not done, however, as he scored two more goals - 2:07 apart this time - to give Dowling a four goal lead and put the game out of reach.
With the loss Queens College concludes the 2009 season with an overall record of 11-7.
