Knights playoff hopes take a hit in 3-2 loss at STAC

The Knights fell to 3-3 in conference play after they were beaten at St. Thomas Aquinas College, 3-2, on Tuesday. This places next Wednesday's game at Mercy College in the must win category if they hope to solidify a spot in the post season.

QC now sits in fourth place in the ECC Standings, one half game ahead of NYIT and one half game behind Dowling College. The Knights beat NYIT 1-0 back in September and recorded a 2-1 win over Dowling this past Saturday.

Renan Lopes beat Knights' goalie Julio Rodriguez at 34:44 to give STAC a 1-0 lead that they would take into the intermission. STAC increased their lead to two goals when Daniel Davren scored off a rebound just under five minutes into the second half. Daniel Stoker answered for QC with an unassisted marker just a minute and forty seonds later to make it a 2-1 game.

STAC regained their two goal advantage when Davren assisted on Remington Lee's goal at 69:38.  Stoker later fed Mohammed Mashriqi for his first of the year to close out the scoring in the 80th minute.
