UB blanks QC, 4-0

The University of Bridgeport shut out the Knights, 4-0, in East Coast Conference men's soccer action on Saturday in Flushing, New York. QC has now gone without a goal for the last 187:20.
The contest was just 25 seconds old when UB got on the board. Jonathan Arisitzabel dribbled around Knights goalkeeper Julio Gaston Rodriguez and touched the ball to LeRoux Lothian who found a wide open net to give Bridgeport the lead. QC nearly tied it up at 14:21 but for the second straight game a shot by Mohammed Mashriqi hit a post instead of twine.
Lothian gave his team a two goal cushion 12:50 into the second half when he lofted a shot over Rodriguez and into the back of the Knights net. In the 83rd minute he completed his hat trick after taking a long through ball from Reuel Broen at the top of the box and beating Rodriguez to make it a 3-0 game. Patric Brundin closed out the scoring in the 84th minute to drop QC to 7-5 overall and 1-2 in the ECC.
