Goal and an assist for Stoker in 2-0 win over Nyack

Daniel Stoker scored one goal and assisted on the other as Queens College defeated Nyack College, 2-0, in a non-conference match on Wednesday. The win was the Knights seventh in eight games as they improved to 4-0 at home.
Brian Buckmire nearly got the Knights on the board at the 13:09 mark of the first half but his shot clanged off the far post. Thirteen minutes later Daniel Stoker made it QC 1, Nyack 0 when he took a pass from Frank Alesci at the top of the box to the left of the net and put a left footed shot into the right hand corner for his fifth of the season.
The score remained 1-0 until Jose Aguije scored an insurance goal for the Knights off of an outstanding effort by Stoker in the 83rd minute. Stoker made a long run down the right wing before finding Aguije in the box with a perfect pass.
Julio Gaston Rodriguez made seven saves to backstop the Knights and pick up his third shutout of the season, improving his record to 6-1 in the process.
