Queens College edged NYIT, 1-0, for their sixth consecutive victory. The win came in Old Westbury, New York on Saturday in the Knights' 2009 East Coast Conference opener.

Mujibullah Mashriqi scored an unassisted goal -  his first of the year - from 30 yards out with 50:13 elapsed for the lone marker of the afternoon. QC made  that goal stand up in front of goalkeeper Julio Gaston Rodriguez, who recorded five saves in posting his second shutout of the season.
