Wayne Zweigbaum is far and away the senior member of the Knights coaching staff. He named as an assistant to head coach Don Lizak after graduating from Queens College in 1987. Wayne played two seasons for Coach Lizak - three seasons overall - and was a member of the 1983 team which was the first Queens College men's basketball team to compete on the NCAA Division II level.
Although he is involved in all aspects of coaching the Knights, Wayne is responsible for the majority of the scouting duties. His ties to QC's last three head coaches and last 20 teams also makes him a natural as alumni liason.
Wayne is currently a physical education teacher at Francis Lewis High School where, in 2001, he coached their girls tennis team to the PSAL finals.
