Knights ride 19-0 run to 78-52 win

Queens College scored 19 straight first half points en route to a 78-52 win at Molloy College on Wednesday night. The Knights are now tied with NYIT for sixth place in the ECC, one game behind STAC for fifth.

A three pointer by Lamont Lans put the icing on a 19-0 run that left the Knights ahead 28-5 midway through the first 20 minutes. Mike Liander had 17 points and six rebounds at the half to help QC doubled up on Molloy, 42-21.

The Knights continued to add to their lead in the second half, moving ahead by as much as 31 points when Lawrence Young, who had 13 on the evening, hit a three with 4:39 remaining.

Liander led all scorers with 19 points in 26 minutes on eight of ten from the field. He also had a team high nine rebounds while Lans added 10 for QC, who conclude their regular season at Dowling on Saturday afternoon.
